Robert Eugene Robie, of Pomeroy, passed away at his residence after an extended illness.  He was born on January 17, 1957, in Charleston, WV, son of Virginia Lee (Cates) Robie and the late Raleigh Eugene Robie.  He was was a member of: F.O.E. 2171 of Pomeroy, VFW-Mason, Moose Lodge and American Legion in Point Pleasant, WV, Elks in Athens.
In addition to his father, he was preceded by Granddaughter: Jordan Smith.
In addition to his Mother, Virginia Robie, he is survived by:  Wife: Cindy Robie, Pomeroy; Children:  Randy (Michelle) Robie, Hartford, WV; Erica (Chris) Smith, Racine; Kelly (Allan) Pape, Portland; Grandchildren: Chandler, Talon and Arrow Drummer; Randall, Jacob and Tory Robie; Kamryn and Dylan Smith; Brothers and Sisters: Barbara Sheppard, Clifton, WV; Brenda (Greg) Hoffman, Cottageville, WV; Douglas Robie, Hartford, WV; Carolyn (Sam) Smith, Clifton, WV; Kenneth Robie, New Haven, WV; Linda Quillen, Tennessee; Half-Sister: Terry Cox, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 1:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.  Officiating will be Dan Hayman.  Burial will be in Letart Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9:00pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 and 2 hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. There will be a luncheon held after the burial for friends and family to gather at the VFW of mason social Hall.  All are invited
