Clarice Krautter

On Wednesday, February 10, 2010, our beloved Mother, Clarice Gibbs Krautter, passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-six, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her son Keith Krautter of Columbus, and her daughter Kim Krautter-Thompson (and husband Rocky) of Pomeroy. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Krautter, who passed on December 10, 1988. She was the last surviving sibling from a family of eight children. She is survived by many nieces and nephews from the local area and beyond. Clarice was a member of the Trinity Church of Pomeroy, a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Preceptor Beta Beta Chapter, and the Chester Garden Club. Clarice was a successful Pomeroy merchant for over forty years, owning and operating K & C Jeweler's until her retirement in 1997. Many will remember her warm smile and gracious personality, and she will be sadly missed.



Sevices will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Trinity Church in Pomeroy. Entombment will follow at the Meigs Memory Gardens in Pomeroy.  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
