Lawrence P. "Butch" Lisle

   Lawrence P. Lisle "Butch", 74, of Syracuse, Ohio passed away on September 12, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 31, 1942 in Syracuse, Ohio. He is the son of the late Charles O. and Beatrice (Diddle) Lisle.
   He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two nephews and several aunts and uncles.
   He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cecelia (Galloway) Lisle, his 3 daughters, Barbara (Richard) Gilbride, Reedsville, Ohio, Jennifer (Ted) Gaydosh, Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Beanna (Jay) Reynolds, Long Bottom, Ohio. 6 grandchildren, Scott Gilbride, Nicole Gilbride, T.J. Gaydosh, Audriana Gaydosh, Colton Reynolds, Sydney Reynolds, a sister Rosetta "Tunie" Lisle Redovian, Pomeroy, Ohio a brother James (Patsy) Lisle Springfield, Ohio and his beloved dog, Stella. Along with many nieces, nephews and very special friends.
   Butch was an avid outdoors man, loving to be on his tractor. He was a jack of all trades, enjoying fixing lawnmowers, vehicles and all types of farming equipment. He was a dedicated sports fan for all of his grandchildren's sports. He always looked forward to his weekly visits to Sikorskis Restaurant. Butch proudly served our country in the United States Army, as an Army Medic, Sergeant First Class (E7) and retired after 20 years. He served in both Korea and Vietnam, receiving numerous medals of honor.
   Calling hours will be Sunday, September 17th at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home, Pomeroy, Ohio from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday, September, 18th at 10:00a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Pomeroy, Ohio, with Fr. Tim Kozak officiating. A military burial will follow in the Stiversville Cemetery, Portland, Ohio.
