Cindy S. Harris passed away peacefully at home the evening of December 19th, 2021, surrounded by her husband, Leland (Lee) Harris and other loving members of her immediate family, including one of her best buddies, Pam Napper. Cindy was born April 30th, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Denver Olin Curtis and Betty (White) Curtis. Cindy worked at her father’s (former) Curtis Grocery, Campbell Mushroom Farm, and 27 years at AEP’s Gavin Electric Power  Plant. She worked most of her time at Gavin as a maintenance mechanic where she met numerous close friends. Cindy also proudly spent 20 years as a Worker’s Compensation Officer for the plant’s local AFL-CIO Utility Workers of America, helping many of her fellow workers. She loved spending time with her family, especially in the pool instilling her many words of wisdom. She also enjoyed cooking, golfing, gardening, and socializing with many of her friends. Cindy and Lee also enjoyed spending time at the Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107 where she was a member of the Emblem Club and at Gallipolis Shrine Club functions where she met a great group of new friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Curtis, and niece Katie Kidd. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her brother Keith (Linda) Curtis, daughter Michelle Crisenbery, stepsons Brad Harris and Derek (LeAnna) Harris, granddaughters Kelsey Crisenbery, Nia Harris, and Brooke (Carson) Watts, grandsons Kaleb Crisenbery, Jesse Harris, Tristin Crisenbery, and David Harris, as well as three great grandsons Kyrie Gibbs, Julz Silvey, and Ari Silvey.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 29th, from 5pm-7pm at the Fisher-Anderson-McDaniel Funeral Home located at 264 S. Second Ave, Middleport OH 45760.  Pastor Mike Codner will officiate the service.  Masks are requested of those who are unvaccinated but not required.  At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers a donation to the Gallipolis Shrine Club in honor of Cindy would be appreciated.  Donations can be mailed to 4190 Bulaville Pike, Gallipolis OH 45631, to the attention of Carl DeWitt.
