Kenneth Ray Guinther

Kenneth Ray Guinther passed away at the age of 62 on Monday, January 11, 2021.

Kenny was born on April 2, 1958 to Guy and Wanda Guinther of Syracuse, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Jeremey Ray Guinther, and brother Malcolm Guinther.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Meg Guinther, daughter Sophie Guinther, daughter Chelsea (David) Poole and two grandsons Leo and Maxwell Poole.

He is survived by his twin sister Karen Guinther, with whom he shared a close relationship, two brothers William (Beverly) Guinther, Terry Guinther, and sister-in-law, Donna Jean Guinther, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenny retired from the Meigs County Highway Department where he had many friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, restoring his 1954 Chevy pickup truck, and was an avid baseball card collector. He was also a longtime member of the Pomeroy Racine Masonic Lodge. He loved his family and his dog, "Pup".

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. A service is planned for immediate family on Thursday, January 14th at 1:00, and a graveside service will follow at the Letart Falls Cemetery.

Because Kenny enjoyed baseball and loved Syracuse, donations for a memorial bench for the park in Syracuse may be made in lieu of flowers. Memorials may be sent to The Kenneth Guinther Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 716, Syracuse, Ohio 45779.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, due to the pandemic.
